Abstract
The medical treatment of ornamental fish is still a neglected discipli ne in Europe. Although ornamental fish outnumber dogs and cats and eve n birds by far, their examination still brings many veterinarians into an awkward situation. The aim of this article is to give practical in formation on the examination and procedures of fish, which will help t he veterinarian to succeed in this clinical speciality.
