T. Bengonendong et al., KINETIC-STUDY OF BROMESULPHONEPHTHALEIN A ND INDOCYANINE GREEN IN DUCKS - EVALUATION OF LINEARITY, Revue de Medecine Veterinaire, 147(1), 1996, pp. 75-80
Pharmacokinetics of bromosulphonephthalein ( BSP) and indocyanine gree
n (ICG) were determined at different doses in 14 weeks old mullard duc
ks. The doses were 4, 7, 10, and 14 mg/kg for BSP and 0.25, 0.5, 0.74
and 1 mg/kg for ICG of body weight. Birds were given BSP and ICG intra
venously with a two week-washout period between treatments. Relationsh
ip between administered doses and some pharmacokinetics variables ( in
itial concentrations, volumes of distribution, area under the curves)
was linear. This study proved that doses between 7 and 15 mg/kg for BS
P and 0.5 and 1 mg/kg for ICG are suitable for assessing hepatic uptak
e-elimination function in ducks.
