Abstract
Mathematical morphology has proven invaluable for signal/image process ing. Fuzzy theory is enjoying great success in control and signal proc essing. We show that stack filters, which are already related to morph ology, require slight modification to implement basic fuzzy operators. This correspondence therefore provides a fast errorless method for im plementation of basic fuzzy operations.
