Abstract
Design parameters for the miniaturization of optical correlators are p resented based on technical specifications of the SLMs used. A system constant of an optical correlator is defined in terms of the pixel spa cing of the SLMs. Technical parameters are analyzed to design miniatur e optical correlators that can be constructed with presently available SLMs. (C) 1996 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
