Abstract
To obtain some experimental information on the possibility of observin g interesting phenomena in nucleus-nucleus collisions-correlations, fl ow, etc-the multiplicity distributions of the particles generated in s uch collisions are analysed using the moments method. The role of the collision geometry is emphasized. Different calculations are compared with experimental results for negative pion yield in nucleus-nucleus c ollisions at 4.5A GeV/c. The experimental results are obtained at the Syncrophasotron of JINR Dubna.
