Abstract
Injuries of the lacrimal system are occasionally associated with maxil lofacial trauma. Detailed knowledge of the anatomy of the lacrimal app aratus is essential for optimal treatment of these injuries. The perti nent anatomy is reviewed. Techniques for the diagnoses and repair of l acrimal injuries specific to the canaliculi are presented and discusse d with emphasis on early detection and intervention.
