Curves ''current vs. time'' of dissolution of the less noble component
in hypoeutectic and eutectic alloys were analyzed taking into account
the change of the controlling step with time. Equations for calculati
on of the transition time were derived. Non-uniform two-parameter func
tions are given to describe the kinetic parameters of reactions as fun
ctions of the potential and content of the less noble component. The r
elationships were confirmed by an example of dissolution in cadmium-bi
smuth alloys in chloride containing media.
