Abstract
The inhibitive effect of 2-arylbenzimidazole derivatives in acid media and their influence on the protective and hardening properties of pow dered epoxy paint coatings has been studied. 2-Bromphenylbenzimidazole exhibits the strongest inhibitive effect, and 2-oxyphenylbenzimidazol e is the best catalyst of the epoxy olygomer hardening in the presence of dicyandiamine. The compositions proposed in this work have good pr otective properties and solidify rapidly.
