Changes in the microstructures of FeGe2-Ge, CoGe2-Ge, and NiGe-Ge allo
ys after anodic etching at various potentials in 1 N H2SO4 are studied
by means of scanning electron microscopy and microprobe analysis. It
is shown that the Ge phase dissolves preferably whereas the MeGe phase
is more stable. The anodic behavior of FeGe2-Ge and pure intermallide
FeGe2 is studied. The intermetallic FeGe2 phase in alloy is more resi
stant than the individual intermetallide FeG(2).
