Abstract
The lanthanide-catalysed, diastereo- and enantio-controlled Inverse El ectron-Demand Diels-Alder cycloadditions of 3-carbomethoxy-2-pyrone de rivatives with electron-rich dienophiles is shown to proceed with high levels of asymmetric induction.
