Abstract
Several methods are known to improve detection limits in x-ray-fluores cence analysis. One recently investigated possibility is the applicati on of capillaries to transmit or to focus x-rays onto a sample surface . We investigated a polycapillary column made from several hundred sin gle capillaries for transmitting properties and its use as primary x-r ay gun.
