F. Grass et al., SHORT-TIME ACTIVATION-ANALYSIS WITH AND WITHOUT THE (LID)-LI-6 CONVERTER, Journal of trace and microprobe techniques, 14(1), 1996, pp. 293-300
Activations without and with the (LiD)-Li-6 converter enable the deter
mination of more elements than the single option. While the activation
without the converter enables irradiation of 100 mg samples in the se
cond range for measurement in close (2.5 cm) distance, it is possible
to activate in the half hour range with the converter. An exact precal
culation by Naumov [1] is very helpful to choose the optimal irradiati
on-, decay-, and measurement conditions for the determination of selec
ted elements within a complex matrix.
