Abstract
We have studied the effects of differing lithium doses in rats on the tissue concentration of lithium in the thymus and other tissues. Plasm a values at sacrifice suggested a dose of 20 mM in rats was required t o induce a blood lithium level comparable to that seen in patients. Da ta obtained allowed the examination of growth, water intake, lithium d ose (mmol/Kg) and tissue concentrations for the different dose groups.
