Abstract
Contour plots relating empirical data to predictions of the Interactin g Boson Model (IBM-1) are given for each stable nucleus in the Z = 50- 82 major shell. The two-parameter version known as the Extended Consis tent-Q Formalism (ECQF) is used, allowing trends and anomalies to be s een which have implications not only for other IBM versions but also f or other collective models. This method indicates smooth parameter tre nds in most nuclei, intruder and sub-shell effects at Z = 64, an isola ted anomaly in the N = 102 isotones, and wide-ranging anomalies in the Pt-Os region.
