It has been studied the quantitative aspects of a spectrum of kinetic
Alfven waves (kAw) on the electron runaway production rate using the q
uasilinear and Fokker-Planck equations. It is shown that these modes e
nhance the runaway production rate via their Landau dissipation. It is
found as a general feature that the enhancement is larger the weaker
the background electric field, while for its absolute enhancement it i
s just the opposite. The enhancement of the runaway flux, in some case
s, can be many orders of magnitude over the flux without waves. It has
also been briefly discussed the consequences of this study for the am
plification of planetary and stellar nonthermal emissions.
