G. Katsilieris et al., THE 2-JET ANGULAR-DISTRIBUTION PROBING VIRTUAL EXOTICS AT HADRON COLLIDERS, Zeitschrift fur Physik. C, Particles and fields, 61(1), 1994, pp. 91-95
Heavy virtual exotics, affecting the QCD quark-scattering amplitudes,
can best be probed by the normalized two-jet angular distribution at t
he LHC, the SSC and the Fermilab Tevatron. As typical examples we cons
ider SU(3)L X SU(3)R axigluons and E6 diquarks compared to the more fa
miliar quark effective contact terms. We propose optimal jet pseudorap
idity and invariant-mass cuts in order to enhance the signal at the fu
ture colliders. The discovery limits thus obtained, are studied in ter
ms of energy and luminosity for each machine, comparatively.
