Debye-Scherrer films obtained from Ni3B (Pnma) with Cr K alpha radiati
on yielded lattice parameter values (in angstroms) at 25 +/- 0.5 degre
es C of a = 5.2195(5), b = 6.6164(6) and c = 4.3912(4). A reanalysis o
f data from three previous investigations, including the correction of
indexing errors, gave values for b and c in good agreement with those
found here but resulted in values for the a parameter that differed b
y as much as 0.003 Angstrom. Recent work suggests that the latter may
be due to differences in sample purity.
