Abstract
The technique of Fourier synthesis holography is extended to the spati al domain. A spatially extended source is decomposed into its Fourier components, and a hologram of an object distribution is formed at each spatial frequency and stored in a computer. Upon synthesis in the com puter a clear image can be formed of the object without the use of len ses. (C) 1996 Optical Society of America
