Abstract
Service-delivery research is reviewed with specific emphasis on the ec onomic impact of depression on the health system, nonclinical factors influencing treatment, current management practices in the primary car e and speciality sectors, and efforts to improve depression management in primary care, Special emphasis is given to randomized trials of ne w service-delivery programs.
