Abstract
A new lupane-type triterpenoid, 16 beta-hydroxystellatogenin [1], and a new oleanane-type triterpenoid, machaerogenin [2], were isolated fro m the hydrolysates of the glycosides of the aerial parts of Stenocereu s stellatus and Machaerocereus eruca, respectively.
