Abstract
Single-shot time-domain coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering was rece ntly used to measure the static results demonstrating the capability o f this technique for determining the velocity component in the directi on perpendicular to the axis of the laser beams. The experiment is int erpreted with two complementary approaches, the first through Doppler shifts and the second through transient grating formation. (C) 1996 Op tical Society of America
