F. Kerangueven et al., MULTIPLE SITES OF LOSS OF HETEROZYGOSITY ON CHROMOSOME ARMS 3P AND 3QIN HUMAN BREAST CARCINOMAS, Oncology Reports, 3(2), 1996, pp. 313-316
Loss of heterozygosity (LOH) at loci from both arms of chromosome 3 we
re shown to occur in a high proportion of breast carcinomas. Six regio
ns of consistent loss were identified, and were variably involved in t
he tumors. This suggests that multiple potential tumor suppressor gene
s involved in mammary carcinogenesis are present on chromosome 3.
