Abstract
Diseases manifesting with fever and headache or abnormal neurologic si gns may range from self-limiting illness to medical emergencies such a s bacterial meningitis. Symptoms and signs may also represent an immun ologic or noninfectious process and often point toward a particular di agnosis. Those pointing toward neurologic involvement should be consid ered serious and should be investigated thoroughly.
