Abstract
Cross sections for theta(lab) = 165 degrees of He-ion backscattering o n B-11 in the 1.0-5.3 MeV energy range were measured. Self-supported f ilms of 500 Angstrom from enriched B-11 were used as targets. A new re sonance at 3.87 MeV was observed and the resonances at 4.19 and 4.25 M eV were resolved. Angular distributions were measured at useful resona nce energies of 2.62, 3.69 and 3.87 MeV for ion beam analysis. The cro ss sections are presented in graphic and tabular forms with +/-2% unce rtainty in the relative cross section.
