Interfacial tension isotherms were measured and interpreted for model
bis-hydroxyoximes. The rate of copper extraction from sulphate solutio
ns was determined. Bis-hydroxyoximes show a low interfacial activity a
nd extract copper slower than 2-hydroxy-5-alkylobenzophenone oximes of
comparable hydrophobicity.
