Abstract
Finite-size effects in CoO, an antiferromagnetic insulator with locali zed moments, have been observed in CoO/SiO2 multilayers. The Neel temp eratures of the CoO layers, as determined by de susceptibility measure ments, show a finite-size scaling relation with a shift exponent lambd a = 1.55 +/- 0.05. increased magnetization with an oscillation in magn itude, due to uncompensated antiferromagnetic layers, has also been ob served.
