J. Nanda et al., ECONOMIC EMISSION LOAD DISPATCH WITH LINE FLOW CONSTRAINTS USING A CLASSICAL TECHNIQUE, IEE proceedings. Part C. Generation, transmission and distribution, 141(1), 1994, pp. 1-10
A maiden attempt is made to explore the feasibility of developing an a
pproach to,solve the economic emission load dispatch (EELD) problem wi
th line flow constraints using a classical technique based on coordina
tion equations. The inability of the classical technique to handle the
line flow constraints so far is circumvented innovatively by expressi
ng the line flows in terms of active power generations through distrib
ution factors. These distribution factors are elegantly developed from
existing load flow information using a perturbation technique. The pr
oposed model based on the classical technique for EELD is tested on IE
EE 14- and 30-bus test systems and the results are compared with those
obtained by quadratic programing, the Hessian method, the Ricochet gr
adient method and the linear programing method.
