Abstract
To achieve the required quality demands, a totally controlled and repr oducible production process has to be guaranteed. For this purpose, a lot of instrumentation and sophisticated process control devices have been installed in the modern steel making and casting facilities. This paper will give a short survey of the instrumentation and the strand monitoring at Dillinger.
