Circuits driving series connected photon-injection switches to generat
e high-amplitude pulses with a nanosecond rise times are considered. A
ttention is focused on their switching by pulses with a high voltage r
ate. The circuits can generate pulses with amplitudes of 1-1.5 kV and
edge widths of less than 2 nsec across a 50-Omega load.
