Abstract
Electrostatic precipitators are regularly damaged by fires running int o important financial and environmental consequences. This paper repor ts the conclusions of studies on the nature of materials susceptible t o burn, the fire mechanism, the solutions to bring in. LEGES checked t hat during particular periods of the sinter process conditions prevail which can lead to fires and determined with the sintermakers the acti ons to minimize the risks.
