A 78-year-old woman with recurrent chalazia of the upper eyelid was fo
und to have mucinous eccrine carcinoma. This rare pathologic entity, w
ith low metastatic potential, nevertheless has a significant recurrenc
e rate. This case underscores the importance of considering this tumor
in recalcitrant eyelid lesions and highlights the pathology of this t
umor. A summary of previous cases is also presented.
