Abstract
The reactions of alkynes and a-nitro-olefines with methylazide and phe nylazide was studied. In contrast to known reactions with alkynes whic h are non-regioselective, methylazide and phenylazide react regiospeci fically with cr-nitro-olefines and give only one type of triazole afte r elimination of HNO2. These reactions are very useful synthetic appro aches to 1,2,3 triazoles.
