We report on a case of axillary lymphadenopathy in a 40-year-old woman
secondary to a bilateral silicone augmentation mammoplasty which ocur
red 10 years after surgery. Microscopic silicone leakage (''bleeding''
) from an intact prothesis lead to sizeable lymph node enlargement. Th
e suspected malignant tumour (metastasis/malignant lymphoma) could be
ruled out by histological examination of the lymph node.
