Abstract
A nonlinear control law based on internal model control incorporating an adaptive mechanism is obtained for a three-dimensional nonisotherma l consecutive 'reaction in a CSTR. This model system provides typical process situations requiring servo and regulatory control in the prese nce of load disturbance, noise, process-model mismatch and determinist ic chaos. The performance of the controller is validated by simulation studies.
