Abstract
The reduced magnetohydrodynamic equations governing low-frequency elec tromagnetic turbulence are derived taking into account the compression al and sheared magnetic field perturbations in high-beta magnetoplasma s. The present model equations should be basic for studies of turbulen ce properties and coherent vortex structures involving Alfven waves th at have been frequently observed at the magnetopause.
