Abstract
SET-photosensitized reactions ol a,p-enones and -ynones containing tet hered alpha-silylamine functions are described. The processes lead to hydropyridine ring construction via pathways involving 6-endo type alp ha-amino radical cyclizations. High degrees of regio- and stereocontro l attend these reactions.
