Abstract
A covenient method, developed for the preparation of o-alkyltelluro-be nzaldehydes and -phenyl-ketones from o-alkyltellurobenzyl alcohols, in volves the intermediate formation and rearrangement of 3H(3R)benzo-2,1 -oxatelluroles, a novel tellurium-containing heterocyclic system.
