The high-spin states in Bi-197 have been studied with the Re-187(O-16,
6n) reaction at O-16 energies from 85 to 105 MeV. In-beam measurements
of gamma-ray excitation functions, gamma-gamma-t coincidences and gam
ma-ray angular distributions were carried out with six BGO(AC)HPGe det
ectors and one intrinsic Ge planar detector. Eleven new transitions an
d three new isomers were observed, and a level scheme for Bi-197 was e
stablished. Some differences between the present work and the previous
results were found.
