Abstract
We have presented the electronic free energy with respect to the magne tization and the model of the electronic density of states. The expres sion of the giant magnetoresistance has been obtained by considering t he spin splitting of the electronic energy band. Our approach explaine d the temperature effect on the giant magnetoresistance in-magnetic mu ltilayers.
