The effect of thermal cycling was investigated in TiNi thin wires whic
h were submitted to a constant stress. At first, the strain evolution
of the martensitic and austenitic phases is studied. The influences of
the number of thermal cycles and of the applied stress are determined
. The second purpose of this paper is the transformation evolution of
the TiNi alloy. The measurement df the transformation temperatures and
enthlapies after working was carried out by differential scanning cal
orimeter. The effects of the stress and of the annealed temperature ar
e described.
