Abstract
We consider a gaseous mixture where the constituting particles interac t through binary elastic collisions and removal processes. This system is described by an extended Boltzmann equation for which we derive ex act solutions of similarity type, and determine existence conditions. Finally we write explicit solutions for some particular choices of the collision and removal frequencies.
