Abstract
In 6 sterile heifers which were female in appearance and in genital or gans, all tissues derived from blood, skin, spleen and kidney had a si ngle 60,XY type of metaphase plate. Although the SRY gene was detected by PCR in normal bull, it was not detected in normal cow or in 3 60,X Y cases studied.
