Abstract
We calculated the M1 strength distribution in Dy-163 within the quasip article-phonon nuclear model using the phonon basis for Dy-162. We fou nd a strong fragmentation of the magnetic dipole strength in Dy-163 wh ich was in qualitative agreement with the experimental data. The calcu lated fragmentation of the M1 strength in Dy-163 is much stronger in c omparison with that in Dy-162.
