MODIFIED ISING-MODEL IN EXTERNAL-FIELD

The paper deals with a modified Ising model (MIM) involving a finite v alue of the energy barrier between the states. The MIM behaviour in ex ternal static held is considered. The temperature dependences of susce ptibility are calculated for various model parameters. A glass simulat ing metastable state is examined. It is shown that there may be two ma xima in the dependence chi(T). The calculation are made in the molecul ar field approximation.
