Abstract
The processing and development of SmBa2NbO6 as a non-reacting substrat e for YBa2Cu3O7-delta films have been reported for the first time. The dielectric constant and loss factor of this material are in a range s uitable for its use as a substrate for microwave applications. A YBa2C u3O7-delta superconducting thick film screen-printed on SmBa2NbO6 subs trate gave a T(c)(0)=92 K and current density 2 X 10(5) A/cm2. This ma y be the highest T(c)(0) reported in a YBa2Cu3O7-delta thick film scre en-printed directly on any substrate.
