Abstract
Several samples of Xanthoria parietina were collected from seven diffe rent substrates from the same geographic area. Total proteins were ext racted and analyzed in a two dimension polyacrylamide gel electrophore sis system (PAGE). The comparison of the seven patterns revealed a hig h variability which could be explained by environmental factors such a s the insolation degree and the nature of different substrates.
