Abstract
Two tetradentate chelate systems have been synthesized in order to pre pare metal complexes with oxorhenium(V) whose structures will mimic th at of steroids. The chelate system with amide/amine/thioether/thiol do nor sites failed to give a stable complex, but the corresponding diami ne chelate gave a stable complex.
