Abstract
The objective of this work is to study the limit behavior of the solut ion of Poisson's equation when the thickness of the domain goes to zer o and then apply these results to obtain the torsion constants for thi n-walled elastic beams. In this Note, we only consider profiles ''with out junctions ''. In a later Note we shall study the case ''with junct ions ''.
