The electric field due to single-frequency current distribution in a b
uried horizontal rod with current leakage along its length and at its
ends is computed for observation points at the soil-surface for low an
d high frequencies. The computation results are based on a general for
mulation which permits observation points in air or soil for an arbitr
ary network of energized conductors. The contribution of in-air and in
-soil thin-wire conductors to electromagnetic fields are represented b
y path integrals.
