The effects of different factors (composition of the stock, the ratio
between the masses of the stock and the sample, time and temperature o
f fusion, etc.) on the conditions of microassay preconcentration of no
ble metals on nickel sulfide were studied and a method of the quantita
tive extraction of noble metals from different natural materials with
the subsequent neutron activation determination at the level of n x (1
0(-8)-10(-10))% was developed. Examples of the analysis of natural sam
ples of different composition and origin (meteorites, peridotites, chr
omites, ores, and rocks) are presented.
